PVC and Stainless Steel construction
Kilman ElectriLoc's PetroBailer provides a means of separating and removing floating hydrocarbons from the water surface.
Petro-Bailer (Patent Pending) is constructed of PVC and stainless materials. All connections are threaded for ease of assembly and replacement of an individual component. The 12" hydrophobic filter allows for separation of the floating hydrocarbon with the collection being provided in a 0.2 gal resevoir (larger resrvoirs available upon request).

To Insure Proper Installation:
Measure and record the static
water and product level in the well.
To calculate the length of
suspension cord, subtract 1.4 foot from the static water level reading.
This will place the hydrophobic filter media centrally, assuming that an
Enviro Cap has been utilized at the surface to suspend the bailer.
Attach the suspension cord
to the Petro-Bailer and lower it slowly into the monitor well. The water
displaced by the bailer will quickly equalize and product separation will
begin. THe hydrophobic membrane can be submerged without allowing the acceptanve
of water. However, if the water level extends above the membrane, the hydrostatic
pressures will exceed the electrostatic pore strengths and allow minimal
water passage.
After each field event the
static water and product level in the well should again be recorded and
the Petro-Bailer reset to the new field conditions
The Petro-Bailer provides a fast, inexpensive and simple device for removal of floating hydrocarbons from wells.
